This is a compilation of (mainly instrumental) music from 1960-80s Estonian animated films.
For young artists and composers, working at Tallinnfilm studios offered creative freedom – a thing more scarce in the Soviet era than color TV or nylon stockings. Suddenly, pop art merged pop music, and electric guitars, Rhodes pianos and synthesizers were telling tales of a better future that still hasn’t fully arrived today.
Collection of the "Anima POP" LP animated films can be watched online at Arkaader
