Raadio Kohila

... started in the fall of 2005, when former radio DJ Raul Viitung packed a cheap Behringer mixing desk and some recording gear – to pay a visit to his friend/ex-radio-colleague Marti Laurimaa, then resident of borough Kohila in Rapla County, Estonia. The master plan being „return to broadcasting“ – just, this time on the internet.

Over the time, quite a few of broadcasting did happen, but not only. Various DJ sets, video events, remixes and other adventures shifted Radio Kohila's focus to finding and recycling the obscure recordings of Estonian pop music. Inevitably, the archive-digging and record-hunting led to the birth of a record label in spring 2020.
